Please note

Because of the hot weather during the summer months in Greece it is recommended to have light clothing, sunscreen and hats with you.

Mycenae

Palamidi Fortress

Situated on top of a 216-meter-high hill, this Venetian fortification is one of the best preserved forts in Greece. Built in the beginning of the 18th century, its massive stone walls contain the history of hundreds of years of warfare and also the famous prison cell where the legendary hero of the Greek revolution, Theodoros Kolokotronis was imprisoned.
